Abstrak

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is the effect of  reflective model on   poetry  writing ability at the eighth grade students of  SMP 1 Pakka. Sample in this study is 20 students taken from 165 students by using purposive sampling technique. The approach used quantitative descriptive by using performance tests and questionnaires as instruments. Descriptive analysis showed the average  of the use reflective model is 3.15 (good category) and the average of students’ poetry writing ability  before using the reflective model is 37.2 (failed category) and after using the reflective model is 69.8 (enough category). Furthermore, the t-test formula showed that the t-calculated is more than the t-table (9.10 < 2.05). It means that there is the effect of the reflective model on poetry writing ability at the eighth grade students of  SMP 1 Pakka.
