PENGGUNAAN ALIH KODE DAN CAMPUR KODE DALAM PEMBELAJARAN DI SMAN 2 PADANGSIDIMPUAN

The purpose of this study is to know the use and causes of code switching and code mixing in learning at SMA Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan. The research method uses descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique uses a flow analysis model with three stages which include (1) data reduction, (2) data presentation and (3) drawing conclusions. The data validity technique uses credibility by applying the criteria for checking the validity of data related to trust in data. The results of this research show 22 code switching data and 12 code mixing. It is gotten from video recordings of conversations in learning at SMA Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan. The factors behind of the occurrence of code switching in learning at SMA Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan include: (1) speakers, (2) changing the topic of conversation, (3) to evoke a sense of humor.
