NILAI SOSIAL DALAM BIOGRAFI “HABIS GELAP TERBITLAH TERANG” KARYA R.A KARTINI TERJEMAHAN ARMIJN PANE

Abstrak

The formulation of the problem in this study is the social value in the biography of "Habis Gelap Terbitlah Terang" by R.A Kartini translated by Armijn Pane. The purpose of this study was to determine the social value contained in the book. This research used descriptive qualitative research. The data sources of this research are taken from books, journals and other scientific works. The validity of this research data used triangulation. The results showed four kinds of values but the researcher limited only two kinds of social values, namely (1) material values or everything that is useful for the human body or basic human needs included beauty in the body, clothing, housing, food and (2) spiritual values or values that exist in the human psyche consisting of aesthetic values, moral values, religious values and scientific truth values or logic.
