This study aims to describe the use of diction and figure of speech of cosmetic advertisements on television. The type of research used is descriptive gualitative method. The data sources of this study were obtained and recorded thourgh television. Data collection technigues used observation, interviews, documentation and transcripts of data. The data presentation included photo and video documentation. The data presentation included cosmetic advertising discourse. Taking conclusion is review of data obtained so the data is truly valid. The result showed the use of diction which includes denotativeand connotative meanings. Furthermore, figure of specch used includes climax, anti-climaks, and repetition.
