Abstrak

This study aims to are students are expected to be able to use Indonesian properly and correctly and can communicate effectively and efficiently both orally and in writing in accordance with correct ethics, students are proud and appreciate Indonesian as the state language and the unifying language of the Indonesian nation, students are able to understand Indonesian and can use it appropriately and creatively for various purposes. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, namely research in natural conditions (as opposed to an experiment) and the data collected is in the form of words or pictures. The source of the research data is the Indonesian language teacher at SMP N 1 Barus. The data collection technique in this research is using observation, interview and document techniques. Based on the results of research conducted by researchers, the researchers found learning activities that took place at the researcher's location. The data obtained is learning during the current pandemic, the SMP Negeri 1 Barus school carries out face-to-face learning by complying with health protocols, namely diligently washing hands, maintaining distance, and wearing masks. In addition, face-to-face learning is carried out once a week per subject. The division is that class VII enters Monday with five subjects and Tuesday with five subjects, class VIII enters Wednesday with five subjects and Thursday with five subjects, class IX enters Friday with five lessons and Saturday with five subjects. .
