PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE MAKE A MATCH TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN MEMBACA CERPEN SISWA KELAS XI DI SMA NEGERI 5 PADANGSIDIMPUAN

This research aimed to know whether there was any significant influence between applying of the make a match type cooperative learning model on the short story reading skills at the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan. The type of research was quantitative with a one group pretest post test design. The population in this study was all the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan, the total number 173 students and the sample was taken by using a purposive sampling technique with a total of 27 students. Data collection used interviews, observations, questionnaires and description tests. The research results obtained were 1) the average of applying the make a match type cooperative learning model was 4.21 (very good category), 2) the average of students' short story reading skills before applying the make a match type cooperative learning model was 60, 62 (enough category), and the average of students' short story reading skills after applying the make a match type cooperative learning model was 70.66 (good category), and 3) statistical inferential calculations showed that there was any significant influence between applying of the make a match type cooperative learning model a match on the short story reading skills at the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan.

This research aimed to know whether there was any significant correlation between understanding the elements of poetry and the ability to write modern poetry at the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Simangambat. This research used a quantitative approach by applying correlation method. The sample in this research was 29 students which taken by using total sampling technique. There were two tests used in this research, namely multiple choice test and performance test. The results of this research included 1) the understanding of poetry elements was 74.66 (good category, 2) the ability to write poetry was 79.14 (good category) , and 3) product moment calculation results by using SPSS calculations showed the score sig (1-tailed) was smaller than the alpha score namely (0.003 > 0.05). It’s conclusion there was any significant correlation between understanding the elements of poetry and the ability to write modern poetry at the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Simangambat.

WUJUD NILAI MORAL DALAM NOVEL “CINTA DALAM IKHLAS” KARYA KANG ABAY ADHITYA PERSFEKTIF SOSIOLOGI SASTRA

The purpose of this study was to describe perspective of literary sociology about the form and meaning of moral values in the novel entitled Cinta dalam Ikhlas by Kang Abay Adhitya. Research methods used qualitative research . Data collection techniques used interview techniques, documentation techniques, and record techniques. The research informant is the writer of the novel, Kang Abay Adhitya. The data of the research was collected from quotations of words, sentences, which contain moral values sourced from the dialogue between the characters contained in the novel. The results showed the form and meaning of moral values consisted of three types, namely (1) human relations with himself, there are 53 quotations such as wise attitudes, learning spirit, self -introspection, intelligent thinking, hard work, not despair, honest, regret, patience , hopeless, (2) human relations with other humans there are 78 quotes such as courtesy, responsibility, affection, social care, helping other people, patience, advantageous, intimacy, tolerance, caring for the environment, lying, gums other people, praising others, praising others, praising others , humility, disappointment, and (3) human relations with God there are 35 quotations such as praying, praying, grateful, belief in God.

UNSUR INTRINSIK KUMPULAN CERPEN MOTIVASI KARYA DOSEN DAN MAHASISWA PBSI SEMESTER IV 2021 IPTS

The aim of this research is to know the intrinsic elements of short story of themes and messages contained in the collection of motivational short stories by lecturers and PBSI Semester IV 2021 IPTS students. This research used qualitative methods. Data collection techniques used reading techniques and note-taking techniques. Research data used sentences or quotations that describe the themes and messages within. Triangulation was used in data validity. The results of this research showed that there were 30 themes and messages, 6 themes about physical, 20 social, 2 divine, 1 selfish, and 1 prioritizing career over school. The messages in this collection of short stories have something in common, namely that they both had a message and direction so that if anyone wants to be successful, there must be struggle, intention, effort, as well as a strong determination in facing problems and finding a way out of them.

PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA VIDEO ANIMASI (CANVA) TERHADAP PEMBELAJARAN MENULIS TEKS EKSPLANASI SISWA KELAS XI MIA 3 SMA NEGERI 3 PADANGSIDIMPUAN

This research aimed to determine whether there was any significant influence of using animated video media (canva) on the explanatory text writing skills at the eleventh grade students of MIA 3 SMA Negeri 3 Padangsidimpuan. This type of research was quantitative by applying one group pretest posttest design. The population in this study was all the eleventh grade students of MIA at SMA Negeri 3 Padangsidimpuan and sample was taken by using using a random sampling technique, totally 35 students. Data collection used interviews, observations, questionnaires and performance tests. The research results showed 1) the average the use of animated video media (canva) was 3.0 (very good category), 2) the average skill in writing explanatory text before using animated video media (canva) was 63.8 (category sufficient), and after using animated video media (canva) was 78.6 (good category), and 3) based on the paired sample t-test, Sig. (2-tailed) was smaller than 0.05 (0.253<0.05). It means there was any significant influence of using animated video media (canva) on the explanation text writing skills at the eleventh grade students of MIA 3 SMA Negeri 3 Padangsidimpuan.
