This research used quantitative approach by applying experimental methods (one group pretest posttest design). Sample consisted of 24 students and they were taken by using purposive sampling techniques. Questionnaires and performance tests were used in data collection. The results of this research were 1) the use of the nature learning method in writing poetry had an average of 3.89 (very good category), 2) students' ability in writing poetry before using the nature learning method was 58.45 (poor category) and after using the nature method learning was 75.87 (good category), and 3) the t- test results showed that the t-table score was less than t-count (1.717&lt;4.405). This study uses descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques in this study </em><em>include</em><em> documentation or library studies and conduct interviews. The sample were 23 students who were taken </em><em>by </em><em>using </em><em>purposive </em><em>sampling technique </em><em>from</em><em> 68 students. Data collection techniques used questionnaire</em><em> and performance </em><em>test. The results showed the average </em><em>of</em><em> questionnaire </em><em>of </em><em>&nbsp;</em><em>using </em><em>suggestion-imagination learning method was 3.5 (very good category), the average </em><em>of </em><em>ability to write poetry before using&nbsp; suggestion-imagination learning method was 67 (enough category) and after using&nbsp; suggestion-imagination learning method </em><em>was</em><em> 72 (good category). Surat kabar memiliki ciri khas, yaitu menggunakan bahasa yang lugas dan sistematika penulisan yang berpedoman kepada ejaan bahasa Indonesia. Tujuannya adalah agar memberikan pengetahuan kepada pembaca penulisan yang baik dan&nbsp; benar. Dalam surat kabar memuat berbagai rubrik salah satunya adalah opini. Yang berbicara tentang bagaimana kemampuan seseorang berargumentasi terhadap peristiwaapa saja yang terjadi dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. </em><em>Berdasrkan penjelasan tersebut </em><em>peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian </em><em>kesalahan berbahasa bidang sintaksis </em><em>pada surat kabar, khususnya pada kolom opini.</em> <em>Peneliti memilih kolom opini karena pada kolom tersebut masyarakat dapat mengeluarkan pendapat mengenai suatu penomena atau kejadian yang sedang terjadi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Sehingga dalam menulis opini seseorang hanya mengeluarkan yang ada di pikirannya tanpa memerhatikan tehnik penulisan yang berlaku dalam kaidah bahasa Indonesia.</em><em>Penelitian ini berlangsung pada bulan Juni sampai bulan agustus. Adapun penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, dan menggunakan teknik penelitian dokumentasi dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah dimulai dari reduksi data, penyajian dan hingga penarikan kesimpulan. This research used qualitative approach by applying content analysis method. The results of the research on comparing the main characters in novel Surat Kecil Untuk Tuhan by Agnes Davonar and novel Sang Pemimpi by Andrea Hirata contained 54 data. Novel Surat Kecil Untuk Tuhan by Agnes Davonar consisted of 23 data which included 10 trait data, 7 attitude data and 6 behavior data.
