PENGARUH MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS MATEMATIKA MATERI PECAHAN KELAS V SD NEGERI 040443 KABANJAHE

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika siswa pada materi pecahan di kelas V SD Negeri 040443 Kabanjahe. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi experiment menggunakan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 50 siswa yang terbagi ke dalam dua kelas, yaitu kelas V-A sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas V-B sebagai kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika dalam bentuk soal uraian yang diberikan melalui pretest dan posttest. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t dengan bantuan aplikasi SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 82,4, sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 74,3. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,004 < 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara penerapan model Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika siswa. Dengan demikian, model Problem Based Learning dapat menjadi alternatif model pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika siswa pada materi pecahan di sekolah dasar.
